Descripción

This whiskey was allowed to mature in ex-Oloroso sherry casks for at least 46 years. This is a limited edition of which only 198 bottles are available worldwide. It is the oldest whiskey that the Bunnahabhain distillery has brought to market to date.Notes of fresh green apples, baked apples and pears fill the air. Notes of oak, old leather, honey, cinnamon, dark chocolate, nutmeg and peppery spice are also noticeable. Roasted nuts and fruity aromas of oranges, blackcurrants and marzipan are added. On the palate, one perceives a sweet note of chocolate, plums, dried fruits and sweet blossom honey. A spicy note of black pepper, ginger root, dry oak and old leather is also noticeable. Roasted nuts and black tea are very present here. The long finish begins with peppery spice, then nutty aged leather and oak. A long, soft finish.
