Descripción
The Knockdhu distillery was founded in 1894 by John Morrison after he purchased the Knock estate in 1892 and recognized the potential of the region. The pure water sources on Knock Hill, the abundance of peat and barley and the connection to the Great North of Scotland railroad line made the location ideal for distilling whisky.
AnCnoc Sherry Cask Finish Peated Edition is created from a masterful combination of peated and unpeated distillate from the Knockdhu distillery. After distillation, this peated edition first matures in American oak casks, where the whisky develops its complex base. For the finish, it is then transferred to selected sherry casks from Jerez, which give it its characteristic, subtle notes.
This careful selection of casks and the harmonious combination of the two distillates result in a single malt that is characterized by its impressive depth and complexity. (automated translation)
