The Knockdhu distillery was founded in 1894 by John Morrison after he purchased the Knock estate in 1892 and recognized the potential of the region. The pure water sources on Knock Hill, the abundance of peat and barley and the connection to the Great North of Scotland railroad line made the location ideal for distilling whisky.

AnCnoc 18 Years Old Single Malt Whisky is an outstanding addition to the AnCnoc range. It has been matured in both ex-sherry casks made from Spanish oak and ex-bourbon casks made from American oak and bottled in its most natural form, without chill-filtration and without the addition of colorants. As a result, this dram, a term for a small amount of whisky, may have a slight cloudiness when water is added or when kept cool, which is a completely natural characteristic of whisky that has not been chill-filtered.
